The Indian Army every year recruits the candidates for the TGC permanent commission. There are 22 vacancies for civil branch, 10 each for electrical, mechanical and 8 for electronics and telecommunication. Selection Procedure

Age Criteria

Competency Required

To Join the Indian Army Short Service Commission, a candidate is required to be a Technical graduate from a recognized University. An applicant must have completed their graduation in the relevant branches mentioned above. Period of Engagement

In the Short Service Commission SSC, a candidate is absorbed to serve for the country for tenure of 14 years. The initial period to serve as a regular Indian Army Officers is 10 years. On finding suitable, the officer will be allowed to serve for an extended tenure of 04 years.  The maximum tenure of engagement in Indian Army SSC is generally 14 years only. After that, he or she will be released from the Indian Army.

Note down the roll number and registration number which is generated by the system. The candidate is advised to mention the order of preference for TGC and for SSC Technical Graduate Course. An applicant is required to carry all the relevant documents and testimonials with them. List of documents includes attested photocopies of marksheets of 12th, matriculation, engineering degree and one print out copy of the application form. If a candidate is in the final year, he or she have to produce a certificate from the principal or Head of Department that clearly states the candidature in the final year.
